Needle Felts

In 2016 I started experimenting with needle felting as a way to create more depth in my work. I found wool to be an excellent medium for creating photo-realistic work in colour but with a more sculptural quality. I have learned a little more with each piece I’ve made, experimenting with natural dye (including dyeing wool with mushrooms!) and wet felting.

I now use a combination of needle felt, wet felt and embroidery to create my art.
