I am taking a break from the bees this month to participate in a group show entitled 'Tactile Forest', taking place at North Vancouver's Community Art Space. I'm super excited about this show that celebrates the diverse forms, textures and colors that can be found within the forest, bringing them into the gallery landscape. As you can tell from the exhibition title, this is no regular landscape show... this will be a fascinating collection of work exploring the forest in many nontraditional ways.
Of course there will be some beautiful, forest inspired paintings by Sandrine Pellisier and Julie Johnston, but in addition you will find ceramics by Bev Ellis felted sculptures by Zed Payne, living sculptures from ByNature Designs, contemporary fiber art by Jane Kenyon and of course thread drawings by myself!
The opening night is from 7pm-9pm on Thursday September 8th and the show will run until October 1st. Hope to see you there!
