Eastside Culture Crawl and Media links

Hi Folks,

I wanted to send out a quick reminder about the Culture Crawl.  For those of you close enough, stop by the studio and say 'hello'!  My work is actually in two locations... I was selected to be part of this year's juried preview show 'Hanging By A Thread' which is on now, till the end of the month at The Cultch Gallery.  This show features a wide selection of local artists who are exploring the theme of thread in a variety of different ways.  Three of my honeybee embroideries are part of this show and you don't have to wait for the Crawl to go see them! Click on the link here for opening times: http://thecultch.com/locations/gallery/

The Crawl itself begins this coming Thursday 19th and the times are as follows:
Thursday 19th 5pm-10pm
Friday 20th 5pm-10pm
Saturday 21st 11am-6pm
Sunday 22nd 11am-6pm

I'll be there for the duration of the Crawl in the textile area upstairs at Vancouver Community Laboratory.  I've been busily making some new work for this show, as well as getting a few photographic canvases printed so even if you came to my show at Britannia there will be new stuff to see.   Here's a link to my profile page on the Culture Crawl site, which also has a map of the studio location and a list of the other fantastic artists based in the same building (as well as the whole of the Crawl if you want to make a weekend of it) http://culturecrawl.ca/artists/heathert

I've been getting some media coverage leading up to this event, so I'm posting the relevant links below:

They didn't interview me for this piece on Shaw TV, they just filmed me working, but its good coverage about the CoLab generally and features interviews with other artists who are based in the same space:

24hrs did a great little piece which I was pretty stoked about...

And on Friday I had an interview with the Georgia Straight which will probably come out on Wednesday 18th.  Here's a link to the article- I'm so stoked about this one:

This morning I was interviewed by CKNW Radio but I'm not sure if they will post it online... it was live.  Here's a link to their site in case they do: http://www.cknw.com/news/

Thought these links might be fun for those of you further afield!

Cozy warm wishes to you all on this beautiful fall day,
